TC Squared, or TC2 (R), is a not-for-profit membership organization that promotes apparel and sewn product technologies. The organization's production facility in Cary, North Carolina, serves as a technology research, demonstration, and training center. TC2 works with over 200 apparel and soft goods manufacturers, suppliers, brand owners, and retailers in developing and optimizing supply chain processes. TC2 has received a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce. The organization has developed 3D body scanning and measurement, automated 3D data extraction, web-based apparel customization, fabric inventory control, and other technologies. The 3D body scanning system supports apparel fitting, apparel sizing standards development, body shape analysis, animation, health and fitness management, medical, and other processes. The organization is known for its NX-12 Body Scanner dressing rooms. Scanners are operated by scan subjects. Software simplifies alignment calibration and other processes. TC2 provides clients with lean manufacturing implementation, IT planning, product development optimization, supply chain mapping services. The organization also offers clients apparel manufacturing education and training seminars.
