OnForce by OnForce Incorporated is a website that offers an online marketplace to connect businesses with technology service providers. The privately held company is headquartered in New York City with a geographic scope of the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. It was founded in 2003 as ComputerRepair.com in order to network service providers for repairing computer systems. In 2005, the company became OnForce in order to broaden its scope and offer a more complete range of services, including rollouts, installations and upgrades, and new product categories. The site has more than 10,000 registered providers and more than 5,000 registered buyers, and it claims processing of hundreds of thousands of work orders since 2003. Customers are of varying size, ordering services such as computer repair, micro-staffing, security, wireless LANs, and more. Customers that are in a hurry can schedule a phone call for a free needs assessment and guided tour of the platform, or they can go directly to the marketplace. Each work order generates an access fee to pay for creation, routing, and management of the work order. Providers pay a 10 percent fee on parts and labor. Potential customers can access the marketplace without fees or dues and pay only when a service is used. Upon closing of a work order, a feedback system prompts the buyer and provider to leave feedback for each other.
