Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), founded in 1987 and based in Hsinchu, Taiwan, operates the world's largest dedicated semiconductor foundry. The company includes the WaferTech business, based in Camas, Washington. In partnership with Philips Semiconductors, the firm also has established the SSMC joint venture, based in Singapore. The firm's fabrication plants produce 300mm, eight-inch, six-inch, and other wafers. TSMC is known for its Nexsys (SM) processing technology. The company provides customers with mixed signal / radio frequency, high-density memory (HDM), non-volatile memory (NVM), CMOS image sensor, and high voltage device products. TSMC maintains offices across Asia, Europe, and North America. The company is listed on the Taiwan and New York stock exchanges under the TSM symbol.
