Satellite Tracking of People Limited Liability Corporation, abbreviated as STOP LLC, is a global positioning satellite (GPS) tracking systems and services provider, primarily targeting corrections and law enforcement agencies. STOP is headquartered in Houston, Texas, with offices in Reston, Virginia, and Nashville, Tennessee. STOP was founded by corrections and technology professionals who wanted another alternative to incarceration for nonviolent criminals. Solutions offered by STOP include BluTag (R), an all-in-one, one-piece tracking device; CellTag (TM), a two-piece tracking device based on a Motorola cell phone and supported by Nextel Communications; and Veritracks (R), a GPS tracking software system and crime scene correlation overlay. Using STOP's solutions, offenders are able to maintain employment and contribute to society and reserve jail space for violent and dangerous offenders that require more supervision. Offenders out on parole can be monitored with STOP's technology. STOP can offer real-time notification if persons under supervision leave inclusion zones or enter exclusion zones, and it can process data regarding time and place of offenses and correlate data with locations of high risk individuals under supervision.
