Daniels Electronics Limited, founded in 1950 and based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, is a privately held company that designs radio communications systems. The firm originally was known for its DR-20 and DR-60 marine radio telephones, which were sold in the early 1960s. The DE 440 AM radio telephones were introduced in 1966 and the DE 1100 high frequency single sideband (HF SSB) land and marine radios were introduced in 1972. The company also is known for the MT-1 Series repeaters, introduced in 1981. The MT-4 P25 digital radio series was introduced in 2001. Daniels Electronics' analog and P25 digital products are marketed to organizations across the public safety, utilities, transportation, and forestry sectors.
