Dataradio (R) Incorporated, founded in 1981 and based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, designs telemetry, analog radio, radio modem, mobile data terminal, and other wireless data processing systems. The firm's components are employed in a wide range of mobile data, automation, and control networks worldwide. The firm serves organizations across the utilities, oil and gas, public safety, transportation, and government sectors. Dataradio's laptop-based law enforcement mobile data system was introduced in 1987. The company's RNet (TM) modems were used in 1997 to support NASA Mars Pathfinder communications. The firm's proprietary Parallel Decode (R), or PD, technology allows modems to optimize data decoding processes. Dataradio is known for its Integra-TR (TM) and T-96SR (TM) wireless modems, GeminiPD+ mobile radio modem, BasePack digital base station, Paragon3 base station controller, JSLM2 UHF and VHF analog radios, and HiPR-900 Ethernet FHSS radio modem products.
