FilmLoop (TM) Incorporated, founded in 2004 and based in Palo Alto, California, is a privately held firm that provides consumers with photograph publishing and sharing software and services. The company's free FilmLoop program can be employed in the real-time distribution of images and image updates to selected recipients. Photographs can be customized with captions and comments. The technology scales to support the delivery of images to millions of desktops. Flash Looplets can be sent in e-mail messages, included with feeds, and posted to blogs and Web sites. Image loops also can be posted to eBay pages. Images can be used as links to other Web sites, blogs, or loops. Businesses can employ image loops in promoting products and services. FilmLoop Player software operates across the Microsoft (R) Windows (R) and Macintosh platforms. The FilmLoop Web site includes thousands of image files. Content is organized into news, entertainment, sports, and other categories. FilmLoop has formed partnerships with NASCAR, Toyota, Hewlett-Packard, TBS, Photobucket, and other companies. The firm was founded by Kyle Mashima and Prescott Lee. Lee also co-founded community Web site operator eCircles.com. FilmLoop has raised $7 million in funding from ComVentures and other investors.
