It is listed on NASDAQ under the DISH symbol. The company merged with GM's Hughes Electronics in 2001. It also has formed partnerships and alliances with RadioShack, Sirius, Viacom, SBC Communications, and Sound Choice. Communications maintains customer support and other facilities across the United States. The firm was founded by Charlie Ergen, Candy Ergen, and James DeFranco.
