Modeo LLC, established in 2005 and based in Houston, Texas, is a Crown Castle International Corporation subsidiary that is known for its Digital Video Broadcast - Handheld (DVB-H) network. The network supports the delivery of live television programming, audio, and podcast content to cellular telephones and other mobile devices. The firm will deploy DVB-H in New York, Pittsburgh, and 30 other markets across the United States. Technology partners include Intel (R), Microsoft (R), and Motorola (R). DVB-H supports Microsoft's Windows (R) Media Audio, Windows Media Video, and Windows Media Digital Rights Management (DRM) technologies. Modeo originally was known as Crown Castle Mobile Media LLC.
