D2Audio Incorporated, founded in 2002 and based in Austin, Texas, is a privately held company that develops digital amplifier modules. The modules' DSP chips reference room dimension, speaker placement, audience position, and other variables in automatically optimizing audio signals. The company's products are built on 25 patented technologies. D2Audio markets its modules to audio equipment manufacturers. Its technology is employed in consumer, commercial, profession, and automotive audio systems. The lightweight 4-inch by six-inch and 4-inch by 3-inch modules plug into equipment boards. They do not require the use of heat sinks. The modules allow manufacturers to combine DVD, tuner, and amplifiers into a single receiver unit. Audio systems that include the technology include a D2Audio logo. D2Audio has raised $27.5 million in funding from Sevin Rosen, Austin Ventures, and Lightspeed Venture Capitalists. The firm was founded by Dr. Skip Taylor.
