Via Technologies Incorporated, founded in 1987 and based in Taipei, Taiwan, develops core logic chipsets, x86 processors, and other products. Its systems support high-resolution display, high bitrate audio, and other x86 processing. The company is known for its VIA EPIA product line, which includes the Mini-ITX and Nano-ITX motherboards. Via Technologies also introduced the market's first six-channel audio codec, VIA Vinyl Six-TRAC, in 2001.
