Jasco Incorporated, founded in 1958 by physicist Yoshio Fujioka and Nobel Prize winner Shinichiri Tomonaga, develops a wide range of spectroscopy, high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) detection, and other systems. The firm designs ultraviolet/visible and near infrared, fluorescence, Fourier transform infrared, FT-Raman, circular dichroism, and other spectrometers. It builds solvent delivery systems, column ovens, and autosamplers. The company also develops control and analysis applications, such as Jasco Spectra Manager (TM). Its LC-900 series encompasses wavelength ultraviolet (UV), refractive index, and other detectors. Jasco was established in Japan, and it launched U.S. operations in 1972. The company's Jasco USA unit is based in Easton, Maryland. Jasco International, Jasco Engineering, and Jasco Specialty Instruments were launched in 1977. Jasco Europe SRL was established in 1987.
