Zaxcom Incorporated develops and manufactures audio and video equipment for the broadcast market. Company founder and president Glenn Sanders is designer of the TBC control system, which simplifies video editing. In 1989, the product earned Sanders an Emmy for outstanding achievement in engineering development. Zaxcom's DMX1000 digital audio mixer was introduced in 1992. The four-channel Arria digital mixer was introduced in 1995 and was updated, as Arria HD, to eight channels in 1998. Zaxcom designed the first digital radio console, the DRC1000, in 1995. Two years later, it developed Deva, a four-channel portable hard disk recorder. The firm also offers customers its Cameo LRC battery-powered, mouse- controlled mixer and the Cameo SV nonlinear video editing mixer.
