HiSoftware Company launched in 1996 as Hiawatha Island Software Incorporated (HiSoftware). Targeting the government, corporate, educational, and consumer markets, the company develops search software, Web site accessibility testing and repair software, and content management solutions. In 1999, HiSoftware expanded its global operations. By 2002, it released its first Spanish-language software. In 2003, it released software that combines site quality, privacy, accessibility, and searchability. HiSoftware also introduced the firm XML and validation software for Macromedia Flash sites. It includes ChevronTexaco, Freightliner, Accenture, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, NASA, California State University, and Ontario Systems among its customers. Hiawatha Island Software is based in Concord, New Hampshire.
