Capcom Entertainment, based in Sunnyvale, California, develops, publishes, and distributes interactive game software. The company's Mobile and Interactive Games division, established in 2005, develops mobile entertainment software. Parent firm Capcom Company Limited, founded in 1979, is known for its Resident Evil (R), Street Fighter (R), Breath of Fire (R), Mega Man (R), and Onimusha (R) games. The Mega Man and Street Fighter products were released in 1987. Resident Evil was released in 1996 and Onimusha in 2000. Aside from Capcom Entertainment, Capcom Company Limited maintains additional offices in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Hong Kong. It is developing film and television projects based on its games.
