Callidus Software (R), founded in 1997 and based in San Jose, develops enterprise incentive management (EIM) systems that allow companies to predict and control variable compensation costs. The products streamline the processing of cash, co-op program, market development fund, and other types of enterprise compensation information. The firm's TrueComp (R), introduced in 1999, allows large companies to model, manage, and report on incentive compensation plans. The TruePerformance (TM) product simplifies the implementation of employee compensation plans across enterprise units. Callidus Software's TruePortal (TM) includes a thin-client graphical interface that supports access to variable compensation and sales commission data. The TrueResolution application allows end users to submit disputed payment queries. The program also automates dispute resolution processes. All Callidus Software systems are built on Java and Internet technologies. The firm serves over 60 telecommunications, insurance, and banking clients. Callidus Software has received $80.2 million in financing from Crescendo Ventures, Crosspoint Venture Partners, GATX Ventures, Goldman Sachs L.P., Invesco Private Capital, ONSET Ventures, and Transamerica Technology Finance.
