AddonSoftware, founded in 1981 and based in Oregon, develops sales force automation (SFA) products for the manufacturing, wholesale distribution, and accounting markets. Originally named ADD+ON Software and based in California, the company introduced its ADD-ON Software package in 1983. Six years later, the firm was acquired by MicroAccounting Systems Incorporated. In 1990, it extended its ADD+ON 4.1 product with serialized and lotted inventory features. Its Advantage/V, also released that year, included windowed lookup and advanced search features. In 1991, the company released the first ports for BASIS International's PROGRESSION/3 and PROGRESSION/4. The following year, the firm was acquired by Open Systems Holdings Corporation. It was reacquired by MicroAccounting Systems Incorporated in 1997. From 1999 through 2001, AddonSoftware released the Data Dictionary, UnForm, Telemaster, and PrintPlus products. The firm has over 5,000 customers. It has won recognition from 'CPA Software News.'
