Cambridge University Press, founded in 1534, publishes a wide range of academic and educational books, as well as journals. It produces 2,000 books and 150 journals annually. It produced its first Bible, the Geneva Bible, in 1591. The press's first King James Bible was printed in 1629. The Baskerville Bible was printed in 1763. In 1893, the press began publishing journals, leading with the 'Journal of Physiology.' In 1902, the press launched its Cambridge Modern History series. Cambridge University Press' CANTO paperback imprint has issued 100 academic titles. The publisher's Pitt Press series, initiated in 1874, produces educational books. Cambridge University Press also develops English language teaching programs. The press has 20,000 books in print. It also produces maps, slides, CD-ROMs, and online publications. Cambridge University Press works with over 24,000 authors in 108 countries.
