SAP also is known for it mySAP.com systems. The company's SAP Ventures unit invests in emerging technology companies. SAP's technology is employed by 12 million end users. The firm serves companies across the manufacturing, professional service services, and government sectors. Its systems are used by aerospace, automotive, technology, mining, life sciences, media, retail, telecommunications, health care, banking, insurance, and other companies. SAP works with 1,500 partners. It employs 34,000 people across 50 countries. The firm was founded in 1972. It is based in Walldorf, Germany. SAP has won recognition from 'BusinessWeek,' 'Forbes,' and 'The Wall Street Journal.' The firm has formed alliances with 500 universities in 36 countries.
