Vertex Interactive Incorporated builds open-system data collection systems, as well as middleware and warehouse management systems. Although organized as a corporation in 1974, its predecessor corporations in the weighing business started in the late 1800's. VII also provides consulting, installation, and integration services. Vertex sells its products through a network of direct sales, distribution, and VARs. Vertex is a publicly held company whose common shares are traded over the counter under the NASDAQ symbol VETX and Boston symbol VTX.
