NASSCOM (R), established in 1988 and based in New Delhi, India, is a trade body and chamber of commerce for India's IT and business process outsourcing (BPO) industries. The nonprofit serves 1,200 members, including 250 companies based in the United States, Europe, and Asia. The association promotes global free trade, the adoption of advanced management practices, and the education of domestic workforces. It promotes operational quality and data security standards. NASSCOM includes the BPO, Emerging Companies, Engineering Services, Education Initiative, Innovation, Product, Quality, Security Initiative, and Domestic Market forums. The NASSCOM Foundation is a trust that provides underserved communities across India with information and communications technologies and services. NASSCOM is a member of the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO). It also is a founding member of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA). NASSCOM maintains regional offices in Mubai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, and Kolkat.
