Paragon Retail Systems is a privately held company located in Florida. Incorporated in 1981, it has always focused on the vertical market of retail automation, with a particular interest in regional chains and national franchises. The company's diverse customer base includes such interesting specialties as optical stores, pet shops, doll stores, hair replacement salons, liquor shops, stereo stores, yam merchants, computer resellers, fireplace and Franklin stove retailers, used and consignment outlets of all types, sporting goods retailers, and bike shops. Paragon's original product was called Cash+Plus. In 1987, it introduced Retail+Plus. Its latest product, Retail+Plus Management System (RPMS), was introduced in April of 1990. In addition to RPMS, Paragon offers a full line of industry standard PCs, a wide selection of point-of-sale specific peripherals, LAN products, and integration and support services that make them all work together seamlessly.
