While Ajax is one of the most disruptive new technologies, there are a number of concepts that network staff members can become familiar with in order to keep the number of Ajax-related surprises to a minimum. First, Ajax is not limited to the acronym for which it stands, Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. This oversimplifies the technology, which provides users with a more interactive use of web applications. Next, these applications are written in JavaScript. This has raised the prominence of JavaScript within the world of web development. Ajax does not actually require XML, despite the fact that XML is included in the in the Ajax acronym. Ajax users may find their network and application servers busier than ever with the implementation of Ajax. Traditional web applications may be able to provide network administrators with big gains, whereas Ajax may provide them with less impressive gains. Still, companies will be better off to turn compression on for their web servers. Users will also need to acknowledge that there is a two-connection limit when Ajax is being utilized. Implicit order is removed by Ajax, and application errors are never as obvious as they were with the Layer 8 error correction that was generated with other and older web applications. Ajax is no less secure than any other web programs out there, and the same-origin policy is fully enforced when it comes to the XMLHttpRequest-based application.
