In a move to reorganize its structure and provide better services to its customers, Yahoo! has added a new division to its management structure. Global Partner Solutions, which will be spearheaded by Hillary Schneider, is the latest addition to the growing company. Geared toward maximizing the product offering of Yahoo! on and off the network, this division is set to handle all of the companys partners. Thus, Global Partner Solutions will be directly responsible for catering to the needs of advertisers, developers, publishers, agencies, ad networks and other similar stakeholders. Yahoo! President Susan L. Decker, in a letter to the companys staff, states that 'Global Partner Solutions will be responsible for segmenting the business needs of partners into actionable groups.' She also stressed that Yahoo! needs to understand these segments, create holistic business strategies to cater to these segments, and implement the companys strategies. Meanwhile, VP of Yahoo! Network Division, Jeff Weiner, will now handle Yahoo!s former local markets and commerce group. As part of the reorganization, the company also plans to integrate search and display ad teams. Executives from Yahoo! clarified that the companys reorganization will not cause the laying off of employees. As a matter of fact, Yahoo! may have more employees by the end of the year compared to the number of employees at the onset of 2007.
