Title: Gates and Jobs: Live and in Concert

Author: Fost, Dan Article Type: Product Analysis
Source: San Francisco Chronicle, pC1(2) Publication Date: May 28, 2007
URL of Publication: http://www.sfgate.com

The upcoming D5: All Things Digital, an elite confab that Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher organize for the Wall Street Journal, will be the occasion of an on-stage setting for Microsoft's Bill Gates and Apple's Steve Jobs, where, says one blogger, there is likely to occur a disruption in the SoCal space/time continuum. The technology community is eager to see Jobs and Gates trading views in a debate over operating systems (OSs), music players, who has more money, and who is the cooler dude. Only a few press will be there, including sfgate.com. The two computing pioneers might thrill the crowd by tooting their own horns, Jobs over his comeback and Gates over his philanthropy. Also among the industry elite at D5 will be CEO Eric Schmidt, Time CEO Ann Moore, and YouTube founders Stephen Chen and Chad Hurley.
