Title: Gaps in Your Software Security

New types of attacks are surfacing because of security holes in newer technologies, Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) and Web 2.0. The presence of newer technologies is transforming the application security landscape. And this is because of three factors, which are guiding the conversation into a new course. First, sellers of application security products are remarketing their tools on existing latest technologies that point to AJAX and Web 2.0. Second, the application security market is emerging after several years in the background. For instance, tool makers are focusing on validating input to web applications. In such a way, app security tool makers are highlighting the big picture to better market their products to top executives of business organizations. The third involves AJAX and Web 2.0 making web applications more vulnerable. Being greatly responsive to user, AJAX and Web 2.0 have opened the way for bigger attacks. Past applications have allowed developers to deal with a single form of entry for such attacks, but they are confronted with multiple entry points because of the newer technologies. Industry players note that the presence of AJAX and Web 2.0 only amplify the applications complexity and do not alter the rudiments of ensuring the security of applications.
