AdventNet's Zoho Notebook, a collaboration and note-taking tool, is available in a limited test mode and should be in public beta in March. Zoho Notebook is the latest in AdventNet's suite of products meant to complete with online applications from Google. The others are Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet, Zoho Wiki, and Zoho Show. The suite is one of the few free office suites with the potential to give applications such as Google Docs & Spreadsheets competition. As described in company marketing material online, Zoho Notebook allows the user to create, aggregate, and collaborate on multiple content types online. Users have available a single location to assemble a variety of information, including text drawings, images, webpages, video, RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds, and other media. Zoho Notebook, which offers considerable possibilities for those who work online and particularly for those who wish to share, is well designed with a workspace, buttons for adding new notebooks, pages, and elements, and tabs for moving from one notebook to another. Tabs for pages are on the right. Work sharing abilities are an especially good benefit, since Zoho Notebook allows users to share entire notebooks, pages, or only separate objects on a page by pressing the Actions or Share buttons.
