Title: Make Massive Prints

Digital photos can be super-sized for less than the cost of a common print at the poster shop. For prints not shot with a 10-megapixel camera, a process called resampling is used to resize the image. Image editing tools with resampling functions include Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements and Apples Aperture. Products that can make prints larger and smaller include Alien Skin Softwares Blow Up (alienskin.com) and onOne Softwares Genuine Fractals (ononesoftware.com). Users do not need these programs if they are not aiming for billboard-size prints. For printing posters, there are a number of ways available, including going to a print shop, online photo services and do-it-yourself printing. Print shops, such as FedEx Kinkos, print photos on a large-format ink-jet printer. Users can submit images through Kinkos website, but visiting a local branch produces much better results. Online photo services, such as Snapfish (snapfish.com) and Shutterfly (shutterfly.com) offer both standard-size and poster-size prints. A site that specializes in large prints and offers discounts on bulk orders is Large Format Posters (largeformatposters.com). Users who prefer to print their own photos and have control over image colors need to invest in a large-format printer. For example, HP DesignJet 130 (hp.com) generates good quality 24-inch-wide prints.
