Interwise Connect 7.0 was ranked in first place during testing of three Web conference systems. The other two products were Elluminate Live! 7.0 and Sonexis Conference Manager. Interwise is a totally integrated Web and voice conferencing system and was at the top of the list because of its flexibility. Elluminate Live 7.0 integrates VOIP and has an excellent Web conferencing application, but it does not integrate with the public phone network the way Interwise Connect does. The appliance from Sonexis is actually an audio-conferencing bridge that has Web conferencing capabilities built in. This product is a good choice for organizations that want a simple plug-and-play solution, but its cost is relatively high for what it provides. Elluminate Live! 7.0 is somewhat different from the other two products tested in that it only supports voice communications directly via the Web conferencing client using VOIP. It is also the only one of the three products to offer features designed to comply with the requirements of the United States Rehabilitation Act's Section 508. Interwise Connect has a wide range of features for managing events like collaborative meetings, interactive training, and large-scale seminars. Its voice integration capabilities mean companies can control teleconferencing costs related to Web conferencing. It is also relatively inexpensive compared to the other two products.
