With Pageflex, many data sources can be used in just one variable data project, including, for instance, data coming from a Web form, input from a customer relationship management (CRM) system, and content from a DAM system. A spokesman for Meadows says the company is currently planning to offer the same abilities as a plug-in for Adobe InDesign. PageFlex is the leading extension for QuarkXPress, with abilities that are unparalleled for cost. Only DesignMerge provides cross-platform VDP product support for QuarkXpress. PlanetPress Suite's 2004 release was a major upgrade through which the full product line was localized in five different languages and changed to process double-byte character sets and fonts.
