PDAcalc from ADACS Evert Rozendaal, Rick Heubner's Parens, and Calerga's SysQuake are among highlighted scientific computing tools for palm-sized pocket computers. One search turned up over 600 products, many of which are single-purpose offerings, but some of which are also more all-purpose tools. Programmers can go to the Web and central marketing organizations and make one-stop shopping choices. Examples include FactorPad, which efficiently does various tasks with sampled datasets, and ConverterPro eases international stress-free conversations that reference any type of measurement units. RPN is a reverse Polish calculator with an uncrowded and spare interface that imports function sets as scripts. Fifteen different probability density functions are easily available. PowerOne Graph from Infinity Software provides a choice of algebraic, chain, or reverse Polish calculation sequencing, is a well-appointed palmtop calculator, and uses worksheets to store reusable multivariable calculations. Many pre-written solutions are available for RPN and PowerOne Graph. In the future, RPN will also have skins and a high resolution interface. PDAcalc is a calculator to which functional models are added, including classic and matrix (emulation of the original CplxCal and MtrxCal, in that order), and operation can be through a command line interface or keyboard overlays. LyME from Calerga is a spin-off of the SysQuake interactive simulation and visualization product and is a subset port of the Matlab-compatible programming language called LME for the PalmOS platform.
