Title: KDDI Edit Studio Pro LE 1.2

JVC bundled KDDI's MPEG Edit Studio Pro LE 1.2 into its two high- definition video camcorders, the GR-HD1 and JY-HD10. A lesser version of KDDI's $4,88 MPEG Edit Studio Pro was bundled into the two JVC camcorders. Few editors use NLE and using the MPEG Edit Studio Pro LE 1.2 shows why. The version shipped has only a few pages of PDF-based documentation. The editor's HELP function is not very useful due to the terrible Japanese-to-English translation. Determined users will find that once they become familiar with NLE, this process is an efficient way to edit HDV. Users can tap the bundled Pixela HD Capture Utility to capture SD or HD MPEG-2 Transport Streams files from the camcorder or deck through the i.LINK. MPEG Edit Studio Pro LE has three main windows called Bin, Monitor, and Timeline. The native MPEG-2 workflow affords no loss in the compression and decompression of video.
