Red-Detect does not have basic reporting abilities and is priced toward the high end, considering its abilities and those of rival products available. AirDefense 4.0 takes a particularly effective policy-based approach to monitoring of wireless devices and traffic. Policy categories are configuration, performance, vendor, and channel, and all are configurable. AD has strong reporting, including the addition in 4.0 of the ability to create reports for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and for Gramm-Leach-Bliley criteria compliance, which can be 'handed directly to an auditor.'
