CNN.com's and MSNBC's Web coverage of the presidential primaries are highlighted as 15 Web sites are described (America Votes 2004: Presidential Primary Preview; Politics: Decision 2004; Politics1: 2004 U.S. Presidential Election; Project Vote Smart: Presidential Election 2004; C-SPAN.org; Ballot Access News; Democracy in Action:P2004; Center for Public Integrity: Buying of the President 2004; NHPrimary.com; SelectSmart.com; Presidential Campaign Rhetoric 2004; Atlas of U.S. Presidential Elections; Commission on Presidential Debates; Campaign 2004 Field Guide; and Free Republic. For instance, SelectSmart.com provides a way to choose a candidate based only upon the issues. Some of the questions seem difficult to answer, because the response choices are too simple, but the site is still entertaining. The Center for Public Integrity provides considerable personal and campaign financial information on the multiple candidates and campaign committees. At Slate.msn.com, there are several short features describing who the 2004 presidential candidates are, what they have said, and what directions they would like to see the U.S. take. At Free Republic, a private citizen of California provides a discussion forum for conservative grassroots activists.
